Help with Ideas

Well I'm sure a few people at least read my blog every so often. I need some help with a philosophy paper. Not like you'd actually have to do any work, but I just need some ideas to help with.

The Topic is Particular Skepticism of Religion, basically trying to prove that we can not know anything about Religion. If you know something that would help please post. It would make my life much easier, and the easier my life, the more I can post. hahaha. Can't wait until reading break when I don't have to worry about papers or midterms anymore.

Peace all

by saying we can't know anything about religion do u mean we can't really know things that religons claim to be real (god, jesus, eden etc) because i can totally ramble about why religious beliefs are so absurd and provide no bases for people to believe them, but i don't know if that would helpful

RIght now anything would be helpful. I'm spending all my time pretty much just doing assignments, and this is the last on my last. so every little argument I can think of for it will probably count.

And I know it's not a good blog update. Cause I havn't been doing anything but work and school pretty much. AHH!

How about how Christianity itself, the written religious book, the Bible, upon which everything is based simply outlines the ideals of the religion itself, whereas the Church has taken it upon themselves to start sending out missionaries and knocking on doors and running rallies with the sole intention of converting people to their beliefs.

ie: Once an organization takes charge of once noble religious beliefs, the corruption of mankind sets in and rapes everything it should be standing for. The organization of religion through churches and the vatican causes wars, rips money from the people and forces itself on the unbelievers.

Hi Olives.... (I'm a lurker and I love to read blogs... I felt the need to comment since you were soclicting - please forgive the spelling and sentence structure)

Who says we have to have a person or thing to have faith in or believe in or pray to... I think that there is a chance that there may be some higher power watching over us. I'm more inclined to think that it is my grandparents and other people that I have loved and lost. Those are the people that I speak to dream about and seek guidance from. I saw passion of the christ... it made me cry... because of what he indured and the power of the movie... not the religion attached to it. I've never been a church go'er... weddings, funerals and the odd time with my grandparents when we visited them when I was little. Don't get me wrong technically I have prayed before although it was more an act of desperation by a troubled youth then a prayer. I also find comfort in Garth Brooks - Unanswered Prayers... give it a listen... Anyways, there is my two cents.... or more like 5 bucks LOL but it's 2:24am... if you have any questions you can chat me tinacchristie@hotmail.com - Cheers!
